Cure Duchenne and I have organized a team of nine climbers, (doctors, scientists, parents and entertainers), from around the United States, to climb the mountain this coming summer. Each team member will be responsible for collecting $14,410 in sponsorship donations for Cure Duchenne, to participate. 14410' is the elevation of Mt. Rainier, so sponsors will be sponsoring feet in elevation, at a dollar per foot.

We are now in the process of recruiting a team of "Virtual Climbers". These DMD parents, family members, etc, will also be raising $14,410 dollars in donations, (per family), in order to send their child's picture with our climb team for a summit photo.

If all goes as planned, the sum of our team's efforts will be over $250,000 dollars.

Our climb is scheduled to begin on August 29th. Upon reaching the summit, we will take a photo of the team holding a Cure Duchenne muscular dystrophy banner, which will have many of our major sponsors' logos printed on it. To be considered a "major sponsor", a donation of $5,000 or more is required.
