While in Southern California, we were invited by Debra Miller to attend a steering committee meeting for a huge fundraising event that Cure Duchenne will be holding in October. This meeting turned out to be the highlite of our stay in California. Attending the meeting were 12 very influential persons from the Southern California area. These are people who can make big things happen. Most are very busy people who could easily have an excuse to be somewhere else. Instead, they were there in the room with me, talking about raising $500,000 to save all the little boys with DMD.

In attendance was a lady who committed to fund one half of the salary for a scientist to work full time for Cure Duchenne, a former Cincinnati Bengles football player, and Kelli, a radio talk show personality from KLOS, a prominant L.A. station.

Kelli of KLOS, has a special interest in DMD, and took our Evan’s video back to her Hollywood studio, to help spread awareness among her fellow talk show hosts and guests.
